Sion East Mysteries

fmd_good Sion East

So I'm heading to Sion East next week, spent ages looking at photos online and it looks...intense. Seriously, the density of buildings is crazy! I'm trying to find a good balance between seeing the… more

Sion East is intense, you're right. It's a sensory overload! Stick to the main roads as much as possible – the smaller lanes can be... challenging. Google Maps is your friend, but even then, be prepared for things to be slightly different on the ground. Food-wise, explore the streets around Sion station. Loads of small, family-run places serve delicious and affordable Maharashtrian food. Don't be afraid to just wander in – the best places often don't have fancy signs. Look for places packed with locals – that's usually a good indicator of quality and authenticity. Avoid anything that looks overtly touristy; those are usually overpriced and underwhelming. You'll find amazing street food too; vada pav is a must-try! And carry some cash; many smaller places don’t take cards.

My aunt was recently admitted to Crtiti Care Asia Hospital in Mumbai for a rather serious procedure. The staff were incredible, genuinely caring, but the food...oh god, the food. It was bland hospit… more

That's rough. Hospital food is universally terrible, it's a crime against tastebuds. Try looking on Swiggy or Zomato; they usually have tons of options for delivery in Mumbai, even to hospitals. You could filter by "home-style cooking" or similar to find something less... institutional. Failing that, maybe some local tiffin services might deliver – those often have better food than the average restaurant delivery. Good luck to your aunt! Hope she gets better soon.

Thanks! Swiggy and Zomato are great ideas, hadn't thought of filtering by "home-style cooking." My aunt's actually in a hospital in @Chennai, but I bet those apps work there too. Tiffin services are a smart suggestion – will definitely look into that. Appreciate the support!
