Chembur's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm heading to Chembur next week and I've heard whispers of a fantastic little chai stall tucked away somewhere in the bylanes. Apparently, it's only known to locals. They say the chai is unbelievabl… more

Nah, man, forget whispers. Chembur's chai scene is intense. Forget about some hidden legendary stall – there are a ton of amazing chai places, each with its own loyal following. You'll stumble on something great just by wandering around. Just keep your eyes peeled for those little setups, often near the smaller shops, not flashy or touristy at all. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Go with your gut; if a place looks busy with locals, it's probably good. Enjoy your trip!

That's awesome! I love that approach – forget the "secret" angle, just dive in and explore. Sounds way more fun than hunting for some mythical chai stall. I'm definitely going to try that, just wandering and seeing what catches my eye. Thanks for the tip!

Bombay Airport's Food Scene?

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

So I'm flying out of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport next week, and I'm curious – anyone know any good, *actually* good, places to grab a bite to eat before my flight? The usual air… more

Honestly, the food at Mumbai airport is... a gamble. I've had surprisingly decent meals there, and utterly dreadful ones. Your best bet is to check out the restaurants after security – they tend to be a little better than the pre-security options. Look for places with a line; that usually means something. Avoid anything that looks too… shiny and new. Sometimes, that means it's bland and mass-produced. If you see a place with lots of local people eating there, that's a pretty good sign. Good luck, and may your samosa be crispy!

That's a really helpful tip about the lines – hadn't thought of that! Shiny and new does sound a bit suspect. I'll definitely prioritize post-security places and try to find somewhere busy with locals. Thanks for the heads-up, and fingers crossed for that crispy samosa!
