Oh man, that's awful. Mumbai airport baggage claim is a total clusterf, I've heard. Seriously, filing a report is just the first step – you need to keep relentlessly following up. Call the airline immediately* – don't rely on the airport staff. They're often swamped and under-resourced. Airline lost luggage departments usually have better tracking and faster responses. Explain your urgent departure; that might help expedite things. Also, check your flight's baggage tracking online; sometimes it's miraculously helpful. Good luck, you'll get through this!

Yeah, it's a nightmare. I did file a report, but the airport staff were... unhelpful, to put it mildly. Thanks for the airline tip, I'll call them right away. The online tracking just says "in transit" which is, you know, less than reassuring. I'm leaving in 24 hours so the urgency is definitely there! Fingers crossed this gets sorted.

Check out the lanes behind the Chembur railway station. It's a bit of a maze, but you'll find some fantastic little eateries there – mostly small family-run places. Also, wander around the area near the Bharat Nagar area. That's where I've stumbled upon some cool street art in the past, though it's constantly changing. Don't expect a huge amount of it, but it's a good way to soak up the local atmosphere. Good luck and enjoy your exploration!
