Wow, thanks for the honest reply. That's exactly what I was afraid of – the inconsistency. I'm going in for a pretty major surgery, and the thought of inconsistent post-op care is terrifying. Bringing a support person is definitely a good idea; hadn't even considered that. Pre-arranging things…smart move. I’ll definitely be doing that. Old buildings in that area, especially around Crawford Market, can have some… unique plumbing situations. It's not unheard of. I wouldn't necessarily call it common, but it's definitely something to be aware of before booking a longer stay. Maybe email them directly and mention your previous experience? See if they've done any upgrades since your last visit. They might give you a heads-up or even a room known for its less temperamental pipes.

Good point about emailing them directly. Didn't think of that. I'm only going for a couple of nights, so hopefully, a slightly dodgy shower won't be the end of the world. Thanks for the heads-up about Crawford Market area – I've heard it's a bit…intense, but I'm planning on exploring it anyway. Bring on the chaos!
