Mumbai Airport Chaos?

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

So I'm flying out of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport next week, and I've heard horror stories about the security lines. Seriously, three hours?! Is there a *secret* to navigating th… more

Three hours is… optimistic. More like four, especially during peak times. Download the mPassport app before you go – it’ll speed things up a bit. Also, check your carry-on religiously beforehand. Anything remotely questionable gets flagged and that adds time. Wear shoes that are easy to slip on and off; belts are a pain. And for the love of all that is holy, don't bring a full-sized bottle of water. You'll be buying a suspiciously lukewarm samosa yourself. Seriously though, the app helps. Good luck!

Yeah, four hours sounds about right. I've heard horror stories. Thanks for the mPassport tip – didn't know about that. Shoes, belt, water… noted. Suspiciously lukewarm samosa… that’s a great visual. Appreciate the heads-up!

Suman Nagar's Street Food Scene?

fmd_good Suman Nagar

I'm heading to @Mumbai next month and plan on spending a few days exploring Suman Nagar. I've heard the street food is incredible, but I'm a bit nervous about finding the *really* good stuff amidst a… more

Suman Nagar's a whirlwind! Seriously, the sheer volume of food stalls is insane. To avoid feeling overwhelmed, I'd recommend focusing on a specific area first – maybe wander down one main street and just hit a few places. Don't try to eat everything in one go! Vegetarians are totally fine there – you'll find plenty of pav bhaji, vada pav, and all sorts of chaat options. Look for places with lots of locals – usually a good sign. And don't be afraid to just point at something that looks interesting; most vendors are happy to explain what they're selling. One thing: pay attention to how busy a stall is. Long lines often mean good food. But also, check out the cleanliness of the place – that's a big one when it comes to street food. Have fun and enjoy the delicious chaos!

That's awesome, thanks! I'm definitely going to try the "focus on one street" approach. Overwhelm is my middle name when faced with that much food! The tip about checking the cleanliness is super important – didn't even think of that. Good call. I'm a vegetarian, so the pav bhaji and chaat options sound perfect. Excited to try some new things, even if I have to point and mime a little! Sounds like a fun adventure.
