Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar Street Food?

fmd_good Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar

So I'm heading to Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar next week, really excited to explore it. Heard the street food scene is amazing, but I'm a bit of a picky eater... anyone know where I can find some genuinel… more

Lots of great options in Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar, even for spice-averse folks like yourself. Try the pav bhaji stalls – look for ones with a decent-sized queue, that usually means good stuff. They can often adjust the spice level, just politely ask for "kam masala". Also, the dahi puri is generally pretty mild, and it's a classic for a reason. Avoid anything with "mirch" in the name unless you’re feeling brave! You’ll find plenty of fruit chaat too, which is refreshing and less likely to be spicy. Have a great trip!

Chembur's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm heading to Chembur next week, and I've heard whispers of amazing street food tucked away in its smaller lanes. My friend, a local, just said "go explore", which isn't exactly helpful! Seriously… more

Honestly, "go explore" is terrible advice. Chembur's a sprawling place. Try the lanes around Bharat Nagar. It's a bit chaotic, but that's where you'll find the real stuff. Look for places with a crowd of locals – that's usually a good sign. Don't be afraid to wander a bit off the main roads; some of the best food is tucked away in the quietest spots. Forget fancy menus. The best stalls often have just a few handwritten signs. And most importantly, be prepared for a seriously spicy experience. Mumbai street food isn't for the faint of heart!
