Chembur's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm heading to Chembur next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers about this incredible little chai stall tucked away in a less-touristy part of the suburb. Supposedly, they make this chai wi… more

Nah, no secret spice blends passed down through generations. That's just hype. Chembur's chai scene is pretty standard, honestly. You'll find decent chai at most street stalls – just look for the ones with a decent crowd. Don't waste your time chasing legends; you'll probably be disappointed. Just grab a chai from any busy-looking place near your office. It'll be fine.

Yeah, I figured as much. I was hoping for something a little more… exciting. Thanks for the realistic take, though. Guess I'll just stick to the busy stalls then. Maybe I'll try a few and see if one unexpectedly blows me away. You never know!

Finding peace in IAC?

fmd_good Indian Airlines Colony

I'm visiting family in Mumbai and staying at Indian Airlines Colony, or IAC as the locals call it. It's a surprisingly quiet residential area, a little oasis tucked away from the city's usual chaos.… more

Yeah, IAC can be a bit of a bubble. Finding quick, cheap eats nearby can be tricky. There's usually a few small stalls that pop up near the main gate in the evenings – mostly chaat and stuff. Not fancy, but decent and definitely budget-friendly. Check out the area around the bus stop on the main road; you might find a small, family-run eatery there too. It's a bit of a walk, but beats a taxi for sure. Otherwise, you're probably looking at a slightly longer walk to the more established food streets further out.
