Finding My Gate at CSMIA

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

So, I'm flying out of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport – CSMIA, as the locals call it – next week, and I'm slightly terrified. My last international trip involved a three-hour delay… more

Seriously, CSMIA is a beast. Download the airport app – it's your new best friend. It'll show you your gate in real-time, and you can check flight statuses too. Also, give yourself tons of extra time. Like, way more than you think you need. Better to be early and bored than late and stressed. And hey, if you get lost, just ask someone – airport staff are usually pretty helpful. They see panicked travelers all day, every day. You’re not alone in this!

Yeah, I’ve heard that. CSMIA is notorious! Thanks for the app tip – I'll definitely download it. The extra time thing is solid advice, I tend to underestimate how long things actually take in huge airports. Especially with baggage claim and all that jazz. I'll plan for a ridiculous amount of buffer time, then. Appreciate the help!

Lost in Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar

fmd_good Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar

So, I'm heading to Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar next week, it's a suburb, right? I've heard the street food scene is amazing. My friend who lives in Mumbai raves about the local chai wallahs and the pav… more

Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar is indeed a suburb of Mumbai, and yeah, navigating those smaller lanes can be a bit of a maze! Google Maps can be frustrating there, it often misses smaller streets. Honestly, the best way to get around is using local transport – the BEST buses are surprisingly efficient and cheap, plus you get a real feel for the area. Don't be afraid to ask locals for directions; most people are super friendly and helpful. Also, try to remember landmarks – a particular shop, a brightly coloured building, whatever helps you retrace your steps if needed. And regarding that street food… you're in for a treat! Just be sure to stick to places that look busy – that's usually a good sign of quality and freshness. Have fun!
