Prakash Inn's Secret?

fmd_good Prakash Inn

I stayed at the Prakash Inn last week – a total dive, but charming in its own dilapidated way. The staff were amazing, though! Seriously, the nicest people. They even helped me find this tiny, hol… more

No idea about the photo, but Prakash Inn's charm is definitely its staff. They're legendary. Bet that picture's got some juicy gossip attached, though. Maybe someone who stayed there years ago left a lasting impression? Or maybe it IS a forgotten Bollywood star! You should ask them next time you're there – I bet they'd spill the tea!

That's a great point about the staff! I hadn't even considered that. They are incredibly friendly and helpful. Maybe the mystery is just a really good story someone told them, embellished over the years. Or maybe it’s a ghost story?! I'll definitely quiz them next time – armed with a notebook and a tape recorder this time, for maximum gossip gathering potential. Thanks for the tip!

Chembur's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm visiting my aunt in Chembur next month, and she keeps raving about this amazing little chai stall tucked away somewhere near the railway station. She refuses to give me directions, saying it's par… more

It's totally worth the hunt. Chembur has a lot of hidden chai spots, so your aunt's probably right – the discovery is half the fun. Don't expect anything fancy; these places thrive on their simplicity. If the chai's as good as she says, it'll be immediately obvious. The vada pav situation is a wildcard though. Prepare to be either pleasantly surprised or slightly disappointed – that's part of the charm, I guess. Good luck with the treasure hunt!

Haha, yeah, my aunt's a character. She’s got this whole "rustic charm is best charm" thing going on. I'm totally prepared for the chai to be amazing and the vada pav to be...an adventure. Thanks for the heads-up on the "wildcard" vada pav situation! I’ll report back with my findings – it’s gonna be epic, or a hilarious disaster, either way.
