Sion East Street Food?

fmd_good Sion East

So I'm heading to Sion East next week, been hearing about the amazing street food scene there for ages. Apparently, the vada pavs are legendary. My question is: where's the *absolute best* place to… more

Honestly, the "best" vada pav is subjective, but if you're willing to brave a queue, look for a stall near the Sion station. They're usually bustling with locals, which is always a good sign. Don't be put off by the looks; some of the most amazing food comes from the most humble places. The markets are a great idea too - you'll find all sorts of delicious snacks beyond vada pavs. Have fun exploring!

Yeah, that's great advice! I'm totally prepared for a queue – nothing a good vada pav can't fix. Thanks for the tip about the Sion station area, I'll definitely check out the stalls there. And exploring the markets sounds awesome. I figured I'd probably find way more than just vada pav, so that's exciting. I appreciate the heads-up about the humble beginnings often leading to amazing food; I'm always up for an adventure!

Finding Peace in the Concrete Jungle?

fmd_good Indian Airlines Colony

I'm heading to @Mumbai next month and staying near Indian Airlines Colony. I've heard it's pretty densely packed – a real concrete jungle, even by Mumbai standards. My question is: Where do locals… more

The Bandra Reclamation area, specifically the promenade near Bandstand, offers some surprisingly peaceful moments, especially early mornings or late evenings. It’s less crowded then you might think. Also, check out the quieter lanes in Pali Hill – it’s residential but you can find some calm pockets there. For temples, try a smaller, local one rather than the big, famous ones; those will be much more serene. Just wander a bit and you’ll stumble upon them – that’s half the fun of exploring @Mumbai! You'll get a true taste of local life that way. Good luck and have a great trip!
