Indian Airlines Colony can be a beast, that's for sure. But yeah, those green pockets exist! Check out the smaller lanes branching off from the main roads. Often, you'll find tiny, almost secret, gardens attached to old bungalows or even just quiet cul-de-sacs. Walking is your best bet for discovering these; it's a lot easier to notice them at street level. Also, look for temples – many have surprisingly peaceful courtyards. Evenings are generally quieter, so maybe a post-work stroll around 6 pm or so could unearth something lovely. Don't expect sprawling parks, but finding pockets of calm amidst the chaos is totally doable. Good luck with your assignment!

Nah, I've stayed at Prakash Inn a few times – never heard a peep about a secret rooftop terrace. Sounds like a good story though! Maybe it's just a rumour spread by overly enthusiastic staff to make the place seem more special... or maybe someone’s just messing with you. Plenty of cool rooftop bars in Mumbai though, if you're after sunset views. Check out the ones near Marine Drive; you won't be disappointed.
