Chembur's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm heading to Chembur next week, been hearing whispers about amazing street food tucked away in its less-touristy lanes. My friend, a local, said it's a whole different world beyond the main roads.… more

Yeah, Chembur's got some seriously cool hidden spots. Forget the main drags; that's where the tourists are. The real action's in the smaller lanes, especially around the eastern side near the railway station. You'll stumble upon all sorts of amazing street food – pav bhaji places that'll blow your mind, and chaat stalls that are absolute fire. Don't be afraid to just wander – that's half the fun. As for the legendary chai walli... she's probably somewhere around the market near the bus stand. Just keep your eyes peeled and your ears open for the chatter; you'll hear people talking about her. Trust me, the hunt is part of the experience. Good luck and enjoy!

That's awesome! Thanks for the detailed tips. Eastern side near the station, got it. Pav bhaji and chaat are definitely on my list – I'm starving just reading that. The chai walli hunt sounds like a mission, I'm up for it. Sounds way more interesting than just hitting the usual tourist spots. I appreciate the advice, will report back on my findings!

Lost Luggage at CSMIA?

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

So, I finally landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, or CSMIA as the locals call it, after a ridiculously long flight from @London. The airport itself is... massive. Like, seri… more

Ugh, that's the absolute worst. CSMIA is a beast, I've lost my temper there more than once. Filing a report is step one, obviously. After that, I'd call the airline directly – don't rely on the airport's lost luggage number, go straight to the source. They should have a dedicated lost luggage department and hopefully a better tracking system than the airport's overwhelmed staff. Also, take tons of pictures of your baggage claim ticket and your report. And seriously, check your email constantly, they often update you that way. Good luck getting your stuff back, you'll need it!
