Finding peace in the chaos

fmd_good Indian Airlines Colony

I'm heading to Indian Airlines Colony next week for a work assignment. Everyone keeps talking about how lively it is, a total buzz of activity. But I’m a bit of a hermit, needing some quiet time to r… more

Honestly, Mumbai's energy is intense. You'll find yourself swept up in it, for sure. But pockets of peace do exist. Try the Hanging Gardens; they offer a nice view and a bit of greenery to escape the noise. It’s not completely silent, obviously, but a definite step down from the street level chaos. For a quiet café, look for smaller places tucked away off the main roads – they tend to be less frantic. The cafes near the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST) area can be surprisingly calm early in the mornings before the rush hits. Also, the smaller lanes in areas like Colaba can offer some respite. Don't be afraid to wander a bit; you'll stumble upon unexpected quiet corners. Good luck with your assignment!

Lost Luggage at CSMIA?

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

Ugh, that's the absolute worst. CSMIA is a beast, I've lost my temper there more than once. Filing a report is step one, obviously. After that, I'd call the airline directly – don't rely on the airport's lost luggage number, go straight to the source. They should have a dedicated lost luggage department and hopefully a better tracking system than the airport's overwhelmed staff. Also, take tons of pictures of your baggage claim ticket and your report. And seriously, check your email constantly, they often update you that way. Good luck getting your stuff back, you'll need it!
