Prakash Inn Quirks?

fmd_good Prakash Inn

I stayed at the Prakash Inn last week – it's this little hotel tucked away near Crawford Market. The place itself was pretty basic, but clean. The real kicker? Every morning, without fail, a family… more

Totally normal for Mumbai. Monkeys are everywhere, especially near markets. They're opportunistic, brazen little guys. Think of it as a free wildlife show with your breakfast. Just be prepared for some seriously acrobatic fruit-snatching and maybe invest in a slightly less appealing breakfast option if you're not into sharing with our furry friends. They're not aggressive, usually, just very, very persistent.

Sion East Mysteries?

fmd_good Sion East

I'm heading to Sion East next week, planning a small backpacking trip. Heard it's...intense. Lots of small lanes, vibrant street food everywhere. I'm worried about getting lost though. Anyone got… more

Sion East is a trip! Seriously, embrace the chaos. Download Google Maps offline – that's your lifeline. The streets are crazy but once you get the hang of it, you'll be fine. Don't be afraid to ask for directions; people are generally helpful, even if their English isn't perfect. Food-wise, just wander. You'll stumble onto amazing stuff. Look for places packed with locals – that's usually a good sign. Keep an eye out for the ubiquitous vada pav stalls. And don't shy away from the smaller, less "touristy" spots; those often have the best food. Getting lost is half the fun, honestly. Just remember your bearings every now and then. You'll be fine.

That's awesome advice! I'm definitely downloading offline maps. I'm not usually a "get lost and see what happens" kind of person, but Sion East sounds like it demands that approach. Vada pav, you say? I'm sold. Thanks for the tips; I'll try not to get too hopelessly lost.
