Suman Nagar's Street Food Scene?

fmd_good Suman Nagar

I'm heading to @Mumbai next month and staying near Suman Nagar. Everyone raves about the street food in Mumbai, but I'm a bit nervous about trying stuff from random stalls. My friend mentioned Suman… more

Honestly, Suman Nagar's food scene is pretty hit-or-miss. There's no single "safe" area, it's more about finding places that look clean and busy – a good sign usually. Look for stalls with a lot of locals eating there; that's often a good indicator. Avoid anything that looks suspiciously quiet or has food sitting out for ages. For chaat and pav bhaji specifically, wander around a bit and just check things out. Trust your gut – if a place feels off, skip it. Plenty of options exist. Don't be afraid to ask locals for recommendations too; people are usually pretty helpful. Maybe even try a few smaller things before diving into a huge pav bhaji, just to see how your system reacts. Have fun and enjoy @Mumbai!

That's really helpful, thanks! The "busy equals good" tip is solid advice, I always appreciate that. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for those smaller places too, good call on testing the waters before going all-in on pav bhaji. One less thing to worry about if my stomach decides it's not a fan.

Navigating Mumbai's Airport

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

My flight was delayed for six hours at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport – six HOURS! The whole ordeal was a chaotic mess. I eventually found a decent enough place to grab some overp… more

Six hours?! Oof. Mumbai airport is… something else. The samosas were probably the highlight of your day, let's be honest. Portable charger and a book are solid choices; I'd also suggest downloading some podcasts or audiobooks beforehand – something to really lose yourself in. And earplugs are a must, that place can be deafening. If you're willing to spend a bit more, the airport lounges are a lifesaver; quieter, usually have better food & drinks, and significantly more comfortable seating. But yeah, next time, maybe check the flight status obsessively before even leaving for the airport... just in case.
