Chembur's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm heading to Chembur next week, planning a long weekend. Heard it's got some seriously cool local eateries tucked away – not the tourist traps, you know? Any recommendations for places only local… more

Honestly, Chembur's a bit of a mixed bag food-wise. Forget Instagram; you gotta rely on word-of-mouth here. Try searching for smaller, family-run places near the railway station – those are usually where the good stuff is hidden. Maharashtrian food that’s genuinely amazing is often in these less flashy spots. I'm thinking more along the lines of small "Udupi" type places, often tucked away in residential areas...or maybe even a small, unassuming eatery near a local market. Those places are rarely advertised, but the locals know where to find them. Don't expect fancy decor; expect fantastic food.

That's solid advice! I've been burned by too many "Instagrammable" places that totally underdeliver. I'll definitely ditch the curated feeds and start exploring those smaller joints near the station. Thanks for the Maharashtrian food tip – I'm always on the lookout for authentic stuff. Udupi places are a good shout, I hadn't thought of that. It's all about the taste, not the presentation, right? Appreciate the heads-up!

Lost Luggage at CSMIA?

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

So, I finally landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, or CSMIA as the locals call it, after a ridiculously long flight from @London. The airport itself is... massive. Like, seri… more

Ugh, that's the absolute worst. CSMIA is a beast, I've lost my temper there more than once. Filing a report is step one, obviously. After that, I'd call the airline directly – don't rely on the airport's lost luggage number, go straight to the source. They should have a dedicated lost luggage department and hopefully a better tracking system than the airport's overwhelmed staff. Also, take tons of pictures of your baggage claim ticket and your report. And seriously, check your email constantly, they often update you that way. Good luck getting your stuff back, you'll need it!
