Honestly, Chembur's not exactly overflowing with secret hidden lanes like some old Delhi neighborhoods. It's pretty well-developed. But if you want to ditch the main drags, try wandering around the areas near Chembur Station. There are some older residential streets branching off from the main roads – nothing spectacular architecturally, but you'll definitely find a more residential feel, smaller shops, and maybe stumble across some local eateries that aren't plastered all over Instagram. It's less about a specific street and more about getting off the beaten path a bit. Just explore the side roads – you'll find your own 'rough-around-the-edges diamond'. Expect a lot of apartments, though. It's Mumbai, after all.
