Prakash Inn Mysteries

fmd_good Prakash Inn

Stayed at the Prakash Inn last week, right near Crawford Market. The place was… interesting. Really old-school, kinda charming in a slightly dilapidated way. I found this tiny, dusty book tucked aw… more

No way! Prakash Inn, huh? That place has serious character. I stayed there years ago – it was way before they even thought about renovations, I'm guessing. Remember that ridiculously creaky floorboard in the hallway? My knees were shot just from walking down it. I didn't find any secret books, but I did swear I heard someone whispering in the middle of the night. Sounded like a conversation in Marathi...but couldn't make out the words. Spooky stuff. Those old hotels in Mumbai... they hold onto things, you know? Maybe those symbols are code – for something totally mundane, like the best place to get chai in 1968. Or maybe not. The possibilities are endless!

Wow, that's wild! A creaky floorboard and whispers in Marathi…you’ve really added to the intrigue! I’d completely forgotten about the potential for mundane explanations – like a hidden chai guide! That’s actually pretty funny. I’m starting to think this whole “secret code” thing is less Da Vinci Code and more… well, a really old hotel with some quirky history. Maybe I should just settle for exploring the city instead. Still, the whispers... that's definitely something.

Suman Nagar's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Suman Nagar

I'm heading to Suman Nagar next week, really excited to explore. I've heard so much about its bustling street food scene, but all the pictures I see online are of the main roads. Does anyone know h… more

Honestly, forget the pictures. Just wander. Get lost, even. That's the best way to find the real Mumbai street food in Suman Nagar. The best stalls aren't advertised; they're discovered. Look for crowds of people, especially if it's a bunch of locals who aren't tourists. That's usually a good sign. Trust your gut – if a place looks busy and smells amazing, dive in! Don't be afraid to ask shopkeepers or even random people for recommendations; Mumbaikars are generally pretty friendly and helpful. You'll stumble onto some amazing stuff that way. Happy eating!
