Chembur's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm visiting Chembur next week and heard whispers of a hidden, almost mythical, street food stall tucked away somewhere near the railway station. They say the owner only makes one dish, a ridiculousl… more

Nah, mate. Forget the mythical vada pav. Chembur's real best-kept secret is the Irani chai stall near the bus depot. Tiny place, always packed, but the chai… oh man, the chai. It'll wake the dead. And way less spicy than whatever mythical vada pav you're hunting for. Trust me on this. You'll be thanking me later.

Seriously? Irani chai? That's... unexpected. I've lived here my whole life and never knew. Okay, you've piqued my interest. Bus depot, you say? I'll check it out tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

Sion East Mysteries?

fmd_good Sion East

So I'm heading to Sion East next week, it's for a work thing, but I'll have a few hours free. Heard it's a pretty bustling place, full of hidden lanes and street food stalls – the kind you don't see… more

Check out the lanes near the Sion railway station. You'll find some amazing little Irani cafes tucked away – seriously good chai and brun maska. Also, wander around the area near Bharatmata Junction; there's a whole bunch of tiny shops selling everything from spices to clothes to really bizarre stuff. It’s a sensory overload, but in a good way. Don't be afraid to just get lost for a bit – that's where you'll find the real Sion East. Plus, the street food around there is phenomenal. Just be mindful of what you're eating, of course.

Wow, that sounds incredible! Irani cafes and chai – I'm already sold. Bharatmata Junction sounds like a proper adventure. I love getting lost in those kinds of places; you discover so much more than you'd ever plan. Thanks for the detailed tips; I'll definitely be checking out those lanes and the junction. Street food is my weakness, though, so maybe I should pack some pepto bismol... just in case. 😅
