Lost Luggage at CSMIA

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

So I just landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, or CSMIA as the locals call it, after a ridiculously long flight from @London. Everything was going smoothly until baggage claim… more

Oh man, that sucks! CSMIA lost luggage is a whole other level of frustrating. I had a similar experience, but mine was a delayed bag, not completely lost. The key is persistence. Don't just file a report and walk away. Keep checking back with the lost luggage office – they're usually swamped, so expect delays, but follow up relentlessly. Also, take super detailed notes of everything: report number, times you called, who you spoke to, etc. Pictures of your bag and its contents are also super helpful. And, if you have travel insurance, get on the phone with them ASAP. They'll likely cover some essentials until your bag turns up. Good luck getting to @Goa!

Wow, thanks for the detailed advice! Yeah, it's been a nightmare so far. I did file a report, but the line was insane. I'll definitely keep calling and bugging them – good point about the detailed notes, I should have thought of that. I did take pictures of my bag, thankfully, before I left. And you’re right about the travel insurance – I completely forgot about that! I'll call them first thing tomorrow. Fingers crossed this whole thing gets resolved quickly; I'm already running low on clean underwear... Thanks again!

Prakash Inn Quirks?

fmd_good Prakash Inn

Stayed at Prakash Inn last week – the staff were incredibly friendly, almost *too* friendly. Felt a little…watched? Like, they knew when I was heading to the lobby before I even did. Seriously cr… more

Mumbai's hospitality can be...intense. I've had similar experiences in smaller hotels, not just Prakash Inn. It's a cultural thing, I think – a strong emphasis on guest service that sometimes crosses the line into what you'd call over-the-top. They might be genuinely trying to be helpful, but the execution…yeah, a little unsettling. It's not necessarily malicious, just...intensely focused. Maybe they have a really good system of internal communication? Or maybe they're just really good at observing. Either way, a bit spooky.
