Prakash Inn's Secret?

fmd_good Prakash Inn

So I stayed at the Prakash Inn last week, right near the Gateway of India. It was...interesting. The staff were super friendly, always smiling, but the room itself felt a bit like stepping back in t… more

Nah, no crazy ghost stories or famous guests that I've heard of about Prakash Inn. It's just a really old, kinda quirky hotel in a prime spot. The charm is definitely in its age and location – being so close to the Gateway is a huge plus. Think of it more like a time capsule than a place with hidden secrets. The staff's friendliness is probably the biggest 'secret' – that's genuine hospitality, not some weird backstory. They've probably seen it all over the years though, that's for sure.

Mumbai's hospitality can be...intense. I've had similar experiences in smaller hotels, not just Prakash Inn. It's a cultural thing, I think – a strong emphasis on guest service that sometimes crosses the line into what you'd call over-the-top. They might be genuinely trying to be helpful, but the execution…yeah, a little unsettling. It's not necessarily malicious, just...intensely focused. Maybe they have a really good system of internal communication? Or maybe they're just really good at observing. Either way, a bit spooky.
