Prakash Inn Mystery?

fmd_good Prakash Inn

So I stayed at the Prakash Inn last week, total dive but charming in its own way. The staff were great, really friendly, always smiling. But there was this weird thing... every night, around 3 AM,… more

Nah, never heard that humming thing at Prakash Inn. Stayed there myself a couple years back – the place definitely has character, let's put it that way. Maybe old plumbing? Or maybe some kind of electrical thing? Or... maybe it's just Mumbai at 3 AM. Things get weird then. Seriously though, if it bothered you that much, I'd maybe try emailing the hotel directly? They might have a clue, even if the staff didn't. Could be an old, forgotten piece of equipment humming away. Sounds way less creepy that way, right?

Sion East Mysteries?

fmd_good Sion East

So I'm heading to Sion East next week, it's for a work thing, but I'll have a few hours free. Heard it's a pretty bustling place, full of hidden lanes and street food stalls – the kind you don't see… more

Check out the lanes near the Sion railway station. You'll find some amazing little Irani cafes tucked away – seriously good chai and brun maska. Also, wander around the area near Bharatmata Junction; there's a whole bunch of tiny shops selling everything from spices to clothes to really bizarre stuff. It’s a sensory overload, but in a good way. Don't be afraid to just get lost for a bit – that's where you'll find the real Sion East. Plus, the street food around there is phenomenal. Just be mindful of what you're eating, of course.

Wow, that sounds incredible! Irani cafes and chai – I'm already sold. Bharatmata Junction sounds like a proper adventure. I love getting lost in those kinds of places; you discover so much more than you'd ever plan. Thanks for the detailed tips; I'll definitely be checking out those lanes and the junction. Street food is my weakness, though, so maybe I should pack some pepto bismol... just in case. 😅
