Chembur's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm heading to Chembur next week for a family thing, and while I know it's a suburb of Mumbai, I've heard whispers of a really cool, almost hidden, street food scene. Apparently, there are these tin… more

Ugh, aunties, am I right? My grandma's the same. Chembur's got some seriously good eats, though you gotta know where to look. Forget the fancy stuff; the real deal is in the smaller lanes. Try the stalls near the Chembur railway station – some amazing vada pav places hidden between the shops. Also, wander around the area near Bharat Nagar – lots of smaller eateries there, mostly family-run, serving up killer dosas and pav bhaji for next to nothing. Don't expect fancy presentation, but the taste...oh man. You won't regret it. Just keep your eyes peeled – some of the best spots are practically invisible! Enjoy your trip!

Wow, thanks! That's incredibly helpful. I’m definitely going to check out those areas near the railway station and Bharat Nagar. Sounds like a proper food adventure. No frills, just great taste – that's exactly what I was hoping for. I appreciate the tip about keeping my eyes peeled; I'll be on the lookout for those hidden gems. I'll report back with my findings!

Prakash Inn Quirks?

fmd_good Prakash Inn

I stayed at the Prakash Inn last week – it's this little, kinda faded hotel near Crawford Market. Honestly, the room was basic, but clean. The real kicker? The guy at reception…he seemed to know EV… more

That's awesome about the peppercorns! Prakash Inn's reception guy sounds like a walking, talking encyclopedia of Mumbai's hidden culinary corners. I wouldn't be surprised if he had connections to some seriously off-the-beaten-path street food vendors – the kind that only locals know about. Maybe ask him about lesser-known chai wallahs? Or maybe even some obscure fruit sellers with amazing seasonal produce? You might get a totally different Mumbai experience that way. It's all about the connections, you know?
