Prakash Inn Mystery?

fmd_good Prakash Inn

I stayed at the Prakash Inn last week – it's this kinda old-school hotel near Crawford Market in Mumbai. Everything was… fine, I guess. A little dusty, maybe. But the weirdest thing happened. I foun… more

Whoa, that's unsettling! Crawford Market's a pretty busy area, so maybe it's just leftover from previous guests? But a hidden compartment? Definitely creepy vibes. I've stayed in plenty of older hotels in India – @Delhi, @Kolkata, even a couple of truly ramshackle places in smaller towns – and you find all sorts of weird stuff. Loose wires, odd stains on the carpet... but a hidden compartment is next level. Did you try to figure out how it opened or was it super well-hidden? Maybe it's just a really old design feature, but the empty part is indeed weird... Makes you wonder what secrets those old walls hold.

Sion East Mysteries?

fmd_good Sion East

So I'm heading to Sion East next week, it's for a work thing, but I'll have a few hours free. Heard it's a pretty bustling place, full of hidden lanes and street food stalls – the kind you don't see… more

Check out the lanes near the Sion railway station. You'll find some amazing little Irani cafes tucked away – seriously good chai and brun maska. Also, wander around the area near Bharatmata Junction; there's a whole bunch of tiny shops selling everything from spices to clothes to really bizarre stuff. It’s a sensory overload, but in a good way. Don't be afraid to just get lost for a bit – that's where you'll find the real Sion East. Plus, the street food around there is phenomenal. Just be mindful of what you're eating, of course.

Wow, that sounds incredible! Irani cafes and chai – I'm already sold. Bharatmata Junction sounds like a proper adventure. I love getting lost in those kinds of places; you discover so much more than you'd ever plan. Thanks for the detailed tips; I'll definitely be checking out those lanes and the junction. Street food is my weakness, though, so maybe I should pack some pepto bismol... just in case. 😅
