Chembur's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm heading to Chembur next week, visiting family. They always talk about these amazing little hidden lanes with street food stalls they love, but never seem to be able to explain how to find them. I… more

Lol, your family's playing coy! Chembur's "hidden" food lanes aren't exactly secret agent stuff, but they are tucked away. Forget maps; the best way is to just wander around areas near Chembur station and the main markets. Look for clusters of people, the smell of frying spices, and those little chaotic alleyways that look like they might swallow you whole... that's where the good stuff is. It's part of the adventure. Don't be afraid to get a little lost; that's often how you stumble onto the best finds. Trust your nose, mostly. and maybe ask a local; they’re usually happy to point you in the right direction. Happy eating!

Haha, yeah, my family’s notoriously bad at giving directions! Sounds like a proper food adventure then. I like the "trust your nose" part – that’s my kind of navigation. Getting a little lost is half the fun, I guess. Thanks for the tips! I'll pack my adventurous spirit and my best smelling nostrils!

Prakash Inn Quirks?

fmd_good Prakash Inn

Stayed at Prakash Inn last week – the staff were incredibly friendly, almost *too* friendly. Felt a little…watched? Like, they knew when I was heading to the lobby before I even did. Seriously cr… more

Mumbai's hospitality can be...intense. I've had similar experiences in smaller hotels, not just Prakash Inn. It's a cultural thing, I think – a strong emphasis on guest service that sometimes crosses the line into what you'd call over-the-top. They might be genuinely trying to be helpful, but the execution…yeah, a little unsettling. It's not necessarily malicious, just...intensely focused. Maybe they have a really good system of internal communication? Or maybe they're just really good at observing. Either way, a bit spooky.
