Plenty of places in Mumbai rent laptops. Check out the bigger electronics stores, or try searching online for "laptop rental Mumbai." You might even find some smaller shops near colleges that cater to students.

That's awesome you noticed those lanes! Sion East has a seriously layered history, and those little alleys are definitely where it all comes alive. I wouldn't be surprised if you found tiny workshops – maybe someone hand-making traditional clothes or repairing old radios. Old family businesses, probably run for generations, tucked away, doing their thing. Think generations of families living and working there, a whole microcosm of Mumbai within those walls. It's a completely different vibe than the main roads, a slower pace, more community-focused. It's a bit of a gamble going in, though – easy to get disoriented, but you'll likely find something truly unique if you're brave enough to get a little lost. You should of just gone for it!
