Finding Peace in Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar?

fmd_good Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar

I'm heading to Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar next month, specifically the quieter parts away from the main roads. I've heard it's a surprisingly peaceful suburb despite being so close to the hustle and bust… more

Finding quiet in GTBN? That's doable. Forget the main drags – head towards the smaller residential lanes. Many have little pockets of calm, tiny parks maybe the size of a postage stamp, but they offer respite. Walk around, you'll stumble upon them. Even just sitting on a quiet bench overlooking a lane can be surprisingly peaceful. Evening is especially good – less traffic, more the sounds of families and less honking. Think more about exploring the quieter neighborhoods than aiming for a specific spot. The peace you're looking for is in the atmosphere itself, not one particular location. Good luck with your search for stillness.

That's really helpful, thanks! I hadn't thought about just wandering the smaller lanes. I usually stick to the main roads because it feels safer, but I guess that's kinda counterproductive to finding peace and quiet. I'll try exploring those residential areas in the evening like you suggested. Sounds like a good plan.
