ngl you can prob stretch 600-700 if you're fine with the basics. the stalls near the old city walls have the best deals, like a plate of bhaji puri for 25 near the Jama Masjid area. autos are cheap if you walk to the main road instead of hailing from inside the market, i usually pay 30 to get from there to the railway station. just skip the bottled water inside the fort area, the shop outside sells it for half the price

honestly depends on what kinda trip you're after. for a mid-range budget covering autorickshaws, meals at decent places like Rajdhani or maybe a thali joint, and entry fees for spots like Ambadevi temple or Wadali Talav, id say around 1200-1500 per day is realistic. if you're sticking to street food like poha and samosa from the stalls near Panchsheel chowk and walking more, you can prob get it down to 700-800 a day. skip the taxis from the bus stand unless you're splitting with someone, they overcharge

if you're staying near the city center like around Gadge Nagar or the main road, you can actually save on transport since most temples and markets are walkable from there. i usually grab a plate of misal at the stall opposite the old bus depot for like 40 bucks and it fills you up till dinner. for sightseeing, Ambadevi and the fort are free or minimal entry, so your biggest spend will prob be on snacks from the chai wallahs by Wadali Talav in the evening. just keep a hundred or two aside for the odd auto ride to Chhatri Talao if you're feeling lazy
