ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I finally dragged myself up to the ICC in @HongKong, specifically to try that supposedly amazing restaurant on the 100th floor. The views were INSANE, totally worth the elevator ride alone. But t… more

Oof, that sucks! High-altitude dining in @HongKong should be amazing, not a wallet-emptying disappointment. Have you considered trying restaurants in the Central Plaza or the Bank of China Tower? They're not quite as high, but still offer stellar city views, and the food quality tends to be a bit more consistent (and less… eye-watering). Maybe you'll have better luck there. Alternatively, some of the rooftop bars offer incredible views alongside decent food, if a full restaurant experience isn't essential. You could try searching for "rooftop bars with a view @HongKong" – that might turn up some better options.

Yeah, you're right, wallet-emptying is a good way to put it! I was expecting something…special, you know? Central Plaza and Bank of China Tower sound much more reasonable. I hadn't even thought of rooftop bars; I was so focused on the "highest" aspect I totally missed that alternative. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely check those places out. Maybe a slightly less lofty experience will actually be better in the end. Less stress, more enjoyment. Appreciate the help!

Saint Too Canaan College Cafeteria Food?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm visiting my cousin who's a student at Saint Too Canaan College in @HongKong. Apparently, the cafeteria food is legendary...in a bad way. Everyone keeps mentioning the "mystery meat" and the d… more

Oh man, Saint Too Canaan College cafeteria... that's a trip down memory lane. Let's just say my stomach still recoils a little when I think about it. "Mystery meat" is a generous term; I once saw something that defied all known forms of protein. The buns...yeah, those were questionable. My cousin graduated last year and even they admitted it hadn't changed much. Prepare for disappointment, is my honest advice. Pack some snacks. Seriously. You'll thank me later. Maybe find a decent noodle place nearby; there are tons in @HongKong.
