Totally get you. Sai Kung's trails are seriously something else; beautiful, but easily get you lost if you aren't careful. I've been relying on those blurry photos from hiking blogs and that's never a great plan. Gaia GPS sounds like a lifesaver – I'll definitely check that out. Thanks for the heads-up about the compass too; I'm terrible with directions, haha. And yeah, fully charged phone is a MUST – a dead phone in Sai Kung is not a good look. Good call on the safety advice, will def tell someone where I'm heading. Appreciate the help!
