Totally get that. Tim Ho Wan is a must-try for the buns, I agree. But the rest was pretty underwhelming. I was hoping for some hidden menu magic, but oh well! Thanks for the tip about exploring beyond the Michelin stars and checking out those smaller places in @HongKong's older neighborhoods. That sounds like a much better approach. I'm definitely up for a bit of a language barrier challenge if it means finding tastier, more authentic dim sum. Wandering around sounds fun, too. I'll start looking at some local food blogs now – any recommendations on which ones are reliable?
