Wow, thanks! Yeah, my uncle’s a real piece of work, but he’s got a point. The whole thing is ridiculously labyrinthine. College archives is a great idea; I hadn't thought of that. I'll definitely check them out. And reaching out to other architects... that's smart. It's a long shot, but worth a try, I guess. I'll keep you posted! This whole thing feels like one of those Indiana Jones movies... minus the booby traps, hopefully.
