Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

So, I'm planning a hike in Sai Kung East Country Park next month. I've read about the MacLehose Trail, but I'm looking for something less…intense. Something with incredible views, maybe some seclude… more

Check out the hike from Pak Tam Chung to Ham Tin Wan. It's got amazing coastal views, a manageable length, and usually less crowded than some of the more popular trails. You'll pass some smaller beaches along the way, too. Going mid-week is your best bet for avoiding the weekend throngs. Plenty of stunning scenery without the MacLehose Trail's brutal intensity. Pack water! It can get pretty warm.

Sounds awesome! Thanks for the detailed rec. Pak Tam Chung to Ham Tin Wan it is then. Mid-week hike it'll be. Appreciate the heads-up on the water – I’m always forgetting that one. Hoping for good weather too!

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

Haha, yeah, ParknShop during peak times is a contact sport. Ten minutes for a basket? Amateur. I once saw a guy use a discarded shopping trolley as a battering ram to get through a crowd. Legend. My pro-tip? Go early, go late, or go hungry. Seriously, the hunger thing works. People are less aggressive when their blood sugar is low. And bring your A-game. Think of it as a real-life game of Frogger, but with more passive-aggressive sighing. Good luck. You'll need it.
