Cognitio's Secret Society?

fmd_good Cognitio College

So, I'm heading to Cognitio College next semester – heard it's intense, academically speaking. My cousin went there, years ago, and kept dropping cryptic hints about a 'secret society' – apparently,… more

Sounds like your cousin was pulling your leg. Cognitio's pretty rigorous, yeah, but a secret society? That's a bit much. Maybe he was just trying to be mysterious. Unless... he was actually in said society and this is his elaborate recruitment attempt. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden staircases, I guess. Good luck with your studies! You'll need it.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a joke. He’s… very into theatrics. Hidden staircases? That's rich. I'll keep an eye out, though. Thanks for the well wishes – I'm gonna need them! This stuff is brutal.

HKShueYan Uni Food Scene?

fmd_good Hong Kong Shue Yan University

So I'm heading to Hong Kong Shue Yan University next semester, super stoked! Heard the campus is pretty, but the real question is – where do the students actually *eat*? Is it all overpriced cafeter… more

Lots of good, cheap eats around HKU SY! Forget the cafeteria unless you're really pressed for time. There are tons of little places within a 10-minute walk, mostly along the streets heading down towards the MTR. Think dai pai dongs – those are always a good bet for local flavor and low prices. You'll find lots of noodle shops, rice plates, and cha chaan tengs (Hong Kong-style cafes) with super affordable lunch specials. Also, grab food from the street vendors, they are often amazing value. Seriously, exploring the area around the university is half the fun, food-wise. Don't be afraid to just wander around and see what catches your eye! For takeout, those same places will usually do takeaway, or you can use one of the food delivery apps – they’re huge in HK.

Wow, that's super helpful! Thanks! I was picturing something a bit more... sterile, haha. Dai pai dongs sound awesome. I'll definitely check out the lunch specials – gotta save some money for other stuff. Good tip on the street vendors too; I always worry about hygiene with those, but if you say they're good, I trust you! Food delivery apps it is then, if I get lazy.
