Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

So, I hiked a good chunk of Sai Kung East Country Park last week. Absolutely stunning views, even saw some wild monkeys! But I got hopelessly lost trying to find that supposedly hidden waterfall eve… more

Yeah, Sai Kung's trails can be a bit...challenging. The signage is, shall we say, sparse. I've found using the AllTrails app, with offline maps downloaded beforehand, is pretty helpful. It shows user-submitted trails, even the less-obvious ones, and often includes photos and reviews that can point you in the right direction. Plus, you can track your progress so you don't end up monkeying around in the jungle for hours. Also, bringing a compass and knowing how to use it is seriously clutch. Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
