Yeah, that liminal feeling is exactly it! I get that vibe a lot around the harbor at night. It's not outright scary, more like…unsettling. Like something's just off. I've lived in @Hong Kong my whole life and still get that feeling sometimes. Maybe it's the mix of old and new, the constant bustle and the sudden quiet moments. I wouldn't call it dodgy exactly, but definitely…atmospheric. Small fishing boats are plausible, but the way people talk about it, you'd think it was something else entirely. Maybe it's just a good story. Definitely keeping my eyes peeled though, next time I'm near Hung Hom.
