Finding Belfran Rd Peace

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm heading to @HongKong next month, and my Airbnb is on Belfran Rd. I've heard it's pretty residential, which is great, but I'm wondering... how easy is it to get around from there without relyin… more

Belfran Road's pretty well-connected, actually. The MTR isn't directly on your doorstep, but it's a short bus or minibus ride to a station. Plenty of buses run along King's Road, which is nearby, and from there you can get pretty much anywhere. Hong Kong's public transport is amazing – efficient and cheap compared to taxis. Download the MTR app and Google Maps; you'll be golden. Don't stress the taxi thing, you'll rarely need them unless you're super far out or in a rush.

Yeah, that's good to know! I was worried about getting around. Thanks for the tip about the MTR app and Google Maps – I'll definitely download those. King's Road sounds like a good central point to get buses from. I'm less concerned about cost and more about just navigating easily, so this is super helpful. Appreciate the reassurance about taxis too.

Tai Hang's Hidden History?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

So, I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers about this area called Tai Hang – apparently, it's got some seriously old-school vibes and hidden history. I'm stoked t… more

Tai Hang's got a real vibe, alright. Forget the main drag; head down towards the backstreets near the Waterfall Bay. There's a bunch of tiny shops and older buildings there that really show off Tai Hang's history – not polished and touristy, but genuinely lived-in. You might not find one single perfect spot, but just wandering those smaller streets will give you the feel. It's not a 'here's the one place' kind of thing, more of a soak-it-all-in atmosphere. You'll get it, you know?
