St. Joseph's Legacy?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm heading to @HongKong soon and my niece is starting at St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School – it’s a pretty big deal in our family. My grandma went there, back in the day! I’m curious th… more

That's awesome your niece is going to St. Joseph's! My cousin went there ages ago, so I don't have super recent info on traditions. But I do remember them having a pretty spectacular Christmas pageant – like, seriously over-the-top costumes and sets. It was always a huge community event, not just for the school. Maybe check their school website or Facebook page; they probably have photos or details of recent events. You could also try reaching out to the school directly – they might be happy to give you some info. Hope she loves it!

Oh wow, an over-the-top Christmas pageant sounds amazing! My niece is really into drama, so that's definitely something she'd love. Thanks for the tips – I'll check their website and Facebook page. I hadn't thought of contacting the school directly, that's a great idea. I appreciate the help!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
