West Hotel Rooftop Bar?

fmd_good West Hotel

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and staying at the West Hotel. Heard amazing things about their rooftop bar – supposedly the best cocktails in the city. But I'm a bit of a lightweight. Anyo… more

Yeah, the views from the West Hotel rooftop are killer. I've been there a few times. They definitely prioritize their cocktail program, but don't worry about feeling left out. They've got a surprisingly good selection of mocktails – not just basic juice. Think fancy stuff with fresh fruit and herbs, so you won't be stuck with something bland. You'll still get the awesome Hong Kong skyline with your drink. Have a blast!

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
