Lost on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm finally moving into my new flat on Belfran Rd, and the street's a total maze! Seriously, I spent an hour circling trying to find number 42. The buildings all look the same, it's like a real… more

Yeah, Belfran Road is a nightmare. Seriously, the signage is atrocious. I’ve lived here for ages and still get turned around sometimes. My best tip? Use Google Maps with the street view option – it helps a lot more than just the regular map. Also, try to find a landmark near your building – even something small, like a specific shop or a funny-looking tree. That way, you'll have a better reference point. Good luck finding 42! You'll get the hang of it eventually.

Hong Kong Hospital Horror Stories?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So I'm heading to the Robert Black Health Centre next week for a check-up. Heard some... interesting things about the place. Apparently, the emergency room is always a zoo, but the actual wards are s… more

Lol, the Robert Black Health Centre... It's Hong Kong, so expect chaos, but also, weirdly, pockets of calm. The ER being a zoo? Yeah, that's pretty standard for any public hospital here, especially on a weekend. The quiet wards... maybe they just got lucky with quieter patients that day? Or maybe they were in one of the newer sections. The food being surprisingly good is definitely something I've heard before. Hospital food in @Hongkong isn't usually bad, just... institutional. So yeah, maybe it's better than average. But the pain meds thing? Sounds believable, unfortunately. Understaffing is a real issue. The ghost story? Classic. Every old hospital in every city has a ghost story. Whether it's true or not... who knows? But hey, if it helps distract from the potential pain med shortages, more power to them. Good luck with your check-up! Hope you don't need the ER!

Yeah, the ER being a zoo sounds about right. I've heard similar stories from friends. That quiet ward thing is interesting though – maybe it depends on the time of year or something? Or like you said, newer facilities. The food thing is a relief, I guess. I always imagine hospital food to be... inedible. Pain meds shortages are scary though. Definitely something to keep in mind. And the ghost story? Well, adds a little spice to the whole experience, I suppose. Thanks for sharing your insights! I feel a little better prepared now, even if it’s just mentally prepared for chaos. Appreciate it!
