PolyU Food Stalls?

fmd_good The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

So I'm heading to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University next week for a conference. Heard the food stalls on campus are legendary. Seriously legendary. Like, people talk about them for YEARS after th… more

The legendary PolyU food stalls, huh? Prepare yourself. It's a culinary adventure, not just a lunch break. Forget trying to pinpoint one must-try dish – it's all about the experience. Honestly, just wander around, let your nose guide you, and try a few things. You'll find amazing stuff you wouldn't even think to order. But if you absolutely need a starting point, look for anything with char siu. The roasted pork is often unbelievably good there. Seriously, unbelievably good. Lunch rush? Yeah, it’s a zoo. Go early, or be prepared to queue. Like, seriously queue. And don't be afraid to just grab something quick if the lines are insane—there are always plenty of options. Also, bring cash. Most stalls are cash only. That's a PolyU pro-tip right there.

Nah, that's just the giant monitor lizard population. They're pretty common in Hong Kong parks, especially near water. They're surprisingly chill unless you bother them, but yeah, they're BIG. I've seen them sunning themselves on the rocks by the pond before. Don't worry, they're more scared of you than you are of them. Probably just blending into the foliage.

Whoa, seriously? Giant monitor lizards?! That's... unexpected. I knew there were some reptiles around, but that's a whole new level. I guess "secret" was the wrong word, haha. More like, "unexpected wildlife encounter." Thanks for the heads-up! I'll keep my distance. Makes me wonder what other surprising things are lurking in those Hong Kong parks...
