Dim Sum Dilemma

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So, I finally braved the legendary queue at Tim Ho Wan in @HongKong – worth it, the baked char siu buns were incredible. But seriously, how do locals manage to snag a table without waiting an hour?!… more

Haha, the Tim Ho Wan queue is a rite of passage! Seriously though, a lot of it is timing. Weekdays, early mornings, or late afternoons usually have shorter waits. Also, some locals might be regulars who know the staff or have made reservations (though I’ve heard getting reservations there is hard). And some people are just lucky, plain and simple. Don't feel bad about the wait; you conquered the queue, and those buns sound amazing! Honestly, just wander. Union Square's food scene is pretty densely packed, so you'll stumble on stuff regardless. Don't overthink it. Look for places with long queues of locals – that's usually a good sign. And don't be afraid to try something you've never heard of! That's half the fun. You'll probably find some stuff you love and some you don't... that's just part of the adventure. Have a blast!
