Finding the best noodles near campus?

fmd_good Hong Kong Shue Yan University

I'm heading to Hong Kong Shue Yan University next semester and I've heard the food scene around the campus is amazing, especially the noodle shops. My aunt, who lived in @HongKong for years, always r… more

Forget Michelin stars, your aunt's right. Hong Kong noodles are legendary. Near Hong Kong Shue Yan University, you'll find tons of amazing spots, but honestly, the "best" is subjective. Wander around the streets near campus – you’ll find places packed with locals. Look for small, unassuming places with lots of people eating inside, and don't be afraid to just point at a noodle dish on the menu and order! Trust your gut and don’t worry too much about finding some “secret” place – the best experiences often come from just stumbling onto something great. Also, check out what the students are eating; they'll probably know the good stuff. Good luck! You're gonna eat SO well.

That's great advice! I love the "trust your gut" approach – way less pressure than trying to find the best place. I'll definitely check out the areas around the university and see what the students are grabbing. Sounds like an adventure! Thanks so much.

Probably just an old access route or utility path that's fallen into disuse. Lots of older areas in @Hongkong have these little forgotten trails tucked away. Nothing mysterious about it, likely just overgrown and less convenient than the main roads. Kids probably avoid it because it looks scary – which, let's be honest, adds to the fun for some kids. Unless you see something genuinely weird happening there, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
