Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I spent a week in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong, mostly working remotely but trying to soak up the local vibe. The area itself is pretty chill, not as frantic as Central. I stumbled across this tiny, hole-in… more

That's awesome you found that noodle place! Quarry Bay's got some good stuff tucked away. Try wandering around near the Tai Koo Shing MTR station – there are some smaller streets with little family-run restaurants and dai pai dongs that often get overlooked. Look for places that are busy with locals, even if the signage isn't in English; that's usually a good sign. Also, check out the food stalls near the waterfront – sometimes you find amazing things there, especially during the evenings. Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
