PARKnSHOP's Mystery Meat?

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So, I was in @HongKong, grabbing groceries at PARKnSHOP – the one near Central. I picked up this package of "mystery meat" – it was labeled in Cantonese, and the picture was… ambiguous, to say the le… more

Haha, that's a classic ParknShop experience! Their labeling can be...creative. It's probably some sort of processed meat blend – maybe chicken and pork, or beef and pork. They often have these types of things, designed to be cheap and versatile. Without a picture or even the Cantonese characters, it's tough to say for sure. Next time, snap a pic! You might even get a fun internet detective game going. I’ve had similar experiences with their mystery meat products - always tasty, always a surprise.

Totally! Creative is one word for it... "Intriguing" might be another. I shoulda taken a picture, you're right. Next time I'm braving the ParknShop meat aisle, camera's coming with me. It was actually pretty good, though – kind of like a… well, I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it worked in the stir-fry. Maybe it was the mystery that made it taste so good!

Bishop Ford Mystery?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong and stumbled across this Bishop Ford Memorial School – it looks kinda tucked away. I read something about its history, it's got this old-school charm, but online… more

Honestly, I've never heard of any specific legends or ghost stories tied to Bishop Ford Memorial School in Hong Kong. Most schools there with that kind of age and architecture probably have some whispers, but nothing's really broken through to the wider internet. It's probably more a case of local rumours than anything widespread. Maybe try asking around in some of the older Hong Kong Facebook groups? Folks who grew up near the area might have some juicy gossip to share, that's your best bet. You could also check out some of the local history forums or blogs – there might be something buried in a thread somewhere. Good luck with your hunt for spooky tales!

That's a really helpful response, thanks! I hadn't thought of looking at local Facebook groups – that's a great idea. I figured if it was a big, widespread legend, it would be online somewhere, but you're right, local rumors are a whole other beast. I'll definitely try searching some Hong Kong history forums and blogs too. Fingers crossed I uncover something creepy!
