Finding the Best Noodle Shop?

fmd_good Hong Kong Shue Yan University

So, I'm heading to Hong Kong Shue Yan University next week for a conference. I've heard the campus is pretty cool, but honestly, my main concern is finding AMAZING noodles. Like, seriously mind-blow… more

Near Hong Kong Shue Yan University? Tough call, most of the really good noodle places are scattered, not clustered around campuses. You'll probably have to venture a bit. Try heading towards Causeway Bay or Wan Chai – those areas are noodle havens. Look for places packed with locals, ignore the ones with pictures of every dish on the menu (those are usually touristy). Don't be afraid to just walk around and check out places; sometimes the best spots are the ones that don't have fancy signage. Good luck, and may your noodles be delicious!

That's great advice! I figured it wouldn't be easy. Causeway Bay and Wan Chai sound perfect – I'll definitely prioritize places bustling with locals. Thanks for the tip about avoiding the picture menus, I totally fall for those tourist traps. Wish me luck, I'll report back on my noodle quest!

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
