St. Joseph's School Mystery?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm visiting @HongKong next month and my cousin's kid goes to St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School. It's apparently a HUGE deal, everyone talks about it. But I've heard whispers...legends,… more

Honestly? I've lived in @HongKong my whole life and never heard a peep about secret tunnels under St. Joseph's. Your cousin's probably right – sounds like a fun local legend to spice up schoolyard stories. Kids love a good ghost story, you know? Maybe it's based on some old drainage system or something equally mundane. Don't get your hopes up for some Indiana Jones-level adventure, though. You'll probably be disappointed. Still, if you stumble upon something... let me know! I'm curious now.

Haha, yeah, that's kind of what I figured. My cousin’s a bit of a storyteller, let’s just say. Still, the way she told it… it was pretty convincing! I’ll definitely let you know if I find anything remotely interesting, even if it’s just a really old rusty pipe. Thanks for the reality check though, I was starting to get my hopes way up. Maybe I'll just stick to exploring the actual school grounds instead of expecting a secret underground city.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
