Finding a decent cuppa at Robert Black?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So, I'm heading to Robert Black Health Centre next week for a check-up. Always a bit of a drag going to the hospital, you know? But I heard the waiting room is surprisingly spacious. My question is… more

Honestly, the area around Robert Black isn't exactly overflowing with amazing cafes. Your flask idea is probably the best bet for guaranteed quality. However, if you're desperate and don't mind a bit of a walk, there's usually a decent little cha chaan teng a few blocks away on Queen's Road West. Nothing fancy, but they'll almost certainly have strong, hot tea. It's a bit of a gamble, but better than lukewarm vending machine dreck.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I figured it wouldn't be a cafe haven. A cha chaan teng, huh? Sounds adventurous! I'm willing to brave a slightly dodgy brew for a proper hot cuppa. Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out. Queen's Road West, got it.

Bishop Ford's Secret?

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
