ICC's Highest Point?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

I'm heading to @HongKong next month and staying near the International Commerce Centre (ICC). I've heard the views from the top are insane, but also that the queues can be brutal. Anyone been recent… more

Weekday mid-afternoon is a good shout. But honestly, even then, expect a wait. Sunset's popular, obviously. If you really want to minimize the queue, consider going super early – like, when they open. Crazy, I know, but the views before the crowds roll in are worth it. Plus, you’ll get that golden hour light. Alternatively, go on a weekday morning before the afternoon rush. It's less crowded then, for sure. Good luck snagging that sunset shot!

Yeah, I figured it would be busy. Sunset shots are always a winner, aren't they? Super early sounds a bit brutal though... Weekday morning might be the sweet spot then. Thanks for the tips!

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
