Caritas Bianchi Lodge Quirks?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @Hongkong last month. It's a bit… austere, I'd say. The staff were lovely, though, super helpful with directions and recommendations for local eats. I got comp… more

Honestly, finding good, non-touristy dim sum near Caritas Bianchi Lodge is a challenge. It's a bit out of the main dim sum hubs. You might have better luck heading towards the Causeway Bay area – a bit of a taxi ride, maybe 15 minutes, but a world of difference in dim sum options. Think smaller, family-run places tucked away on side streets. Those are usually the gems. Or, if you're up for a longer walk, try exploring the residential areas around Wan Chai – you'll stumble upon some local favourites that way, but be prepared for a bit of a hunt. Just look for places packed with locals; that's usually a good sign.

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
